This was my least favourite escape room experience. The first and last rooms were nice, but the middle section really missed the mark. The room was listed for 4–8 people, yet in the second room there was only one challenging puzzle to work on. With that many players and only one puzzle, it wasn’t very engaging. We ended up asking for a couple of clues, but the person typing responses was very slow and kept erasing or correcting their messages, which was frustrating while we were waiting.
When we finally reached the last room, I found a key, only to be told that it wasn’t supposed to be discovered yet, as it was meant to be unlocked later. That was another letdown. Overall, the concept was cool and some puzzles were genuinely fun, but the experience felt poorly designed. I personally wouldn’t recommend this escape room.November 9, 2025

If this was any other company this would be a great experience, but after dealing with the Real Escape for sometime, this was easily one of the least innovative rooms in terms of how you solved puzzles. Still recommend it and a great time for anyone looking for an easier experience.July 31, 2022

MikeSuch a good escape room. Great puzzles and our game master was very good at giving subtle hints without ever telling us anything. Plus it was a great experience and the jump scares led to a lot of laughs and screams. The Real Escape might be one of the best escape rooms in all of Canada. Can’t recommend The Mines enough.

Squid-PieThe Real Escape Canada's newest room shows that the creators continue to expand their efforts to including new types of puzzles that challenge more than your ability to reason. This fun room has aspects of reasoning, logic, math, as well as agility and reaction time.
Long gone are the days when escape rooms meant just opening a series of padlocks. The locks are still there--but there's so much more.
