Don't worry: this is not a history lesson, so you won't need to write a report about what happened in 1861 or remember the names of all British kings. In these escape rooms, you will be transported to a different era. A meaningful plot will make your heart race a little faster, and the atmosphere will stimulate the thought process. Will you change the course of history?
Went this evening in a group of nine, and I was the only one in the group who had previously done an escape room. It was awesome (and yes, we solved it!). There was much more substance, quality and depth to this room, and it actually Halifax-themed!Sarah
Based around the Halifax Explosion, it's historically accurate (but with fiction added in to tell a specific story), including props, contraptions and furniture FROM the time of the explosion. Everything, right down to the great staff (Allan and Thomas), and the building itself, works to make it a thoroughly immersive experience. We had an awesome time; it is incredibly well done. And it's definitely suitable for all ages and varieties of people.
It's too good to miss out on, so hurry before the theme is replaced!
We had the best time! Puzzle Master Allen was fabulous! Our group of 8 had a blast (pun intended) learning and working through The Halifax Explosion themed escape room.Shelby
I went with a group of six other people (all of whom had never done an escape room before). I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Allan is a fantastic host / puzzle master, and he is super good at immersing you into the feeling and the setting of the puzzle. The entirety of the room is very well put together. It is designed with a ton of actual things from the time of the explosion. The puzzle itself is challenging and fun. We barely made it out alive!Solomon
Had a great time saving Halifax, a very challenging and fun experience. Appreciated the connection to the history of Halifax. Definitely recommend.Shawn
The whole experience was awesome! The room is well decorated and matched the theme perfectly. It really brings you into the story. Can't wait to play the new theme in the spring in 2018!Yan
My husband and I traveled up from Moncton. Our favorites were 1943 and Citadel Hill, mainly due to the historical elements to them. The puzzles were well thought out and required just enough of a logic leap to make you feel accomplished when you solved them, but not frustrated trying to figure them out. My only complaints are that the maximum number of players per room is too high, mainly due to the smaller size of the rooms; and there's an overuse of red herrings. Highly recommend trying this place out!Sarah
